This website seeks to inform teachers and teacher candidates on best teaching practices so that they can “teach on purpose.” Eventually this site will host dozens of free resources that can help teachers be more intentional in their teaching. Right now the site hosts the online Journal on Best Teaching Practices, a journal written for and by pre-service teacher candidates. The journal includes several short (two page) papers on “best teaching practices.” Eventually there will be annotated bibliographies and links to other articles and other resources to accompany these online articles. Over the summer of 2014 we will also begin developing “exemplars” to categorically house many different kinds of resources on specific teaching categories.
